Eric R. Almonte, J.D.
Eric R. Almonte, J. D., Assistant Vice President, Institutional Advancement for the LeBow College of Business and the Close School of Entrepreneurship. In this role, along with securing resources for these colleges and schools, Eric works with alumni to better understand their experiences at Drexel both while they were students as well as their lives after graduation.
Prior to working at Drexel he served as Manager-Voyager Select at The Vanguard Group, Valley Forge, PA, working with high net worth clients. Eric also has served as Executive Associate to the President at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, Cheyney, PA, where he worked to staff Presidential events and help the Office of the President develop strategic partnerships in the community. As Director of Equity and Diversity Initiatives at Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell, PA, Eric managed the diversity and inclusion plan for the College to recruit and retain talented and diverse students, faculty and staff. As Assistant Director of Access Initiatives for the Ohio Board of Regents (OBR), Columbus, OH, Eric helped create awareness for post-secondary educational opportunities for residents of Ohio. Before being recruited to OBR, he was Assistant Dean/Posse Mentor Denison University, Granville, OH, where he coordinated the tutoring program and built the Posse Scholars Program. He also served as Assistant Football Coach for Denison, Big Red Football program.
Eric earned his Jurist Doctorate at the University at Buffalo, Law School, Buffalo, NY and earned his Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and African American Studies also at the University at Buffalo, Buffalo, NY.
Eric and his wife, Michele, are parents to a daughter, Sofia, and son, Eric, and reside in Ardmore, PA.
