Mission Bay High School Career Day December 1, 2021

The Terrell L. Bruce Memorial Fund hosted its fourth (4th) Career Day at Mission Bay High School on December 1, 2021.  The purpose of this event was to give high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors exposure to several career paths and engage students in understanding the importance of post-secondary career planning. Our diverse range of speakers, included career fields ranging from Fashion Week Director, Naval pilot, Digital Technology Director, and private jet entrepreneur, to more traditional fields such as an Associate Director of a major insurance company, engineer, and mortgage loan officer.  All of the speakers rotated to different classrooms and discussed their backgrounds and the factors that led them to their current careers.  The speakers presented to multiple classrooms throughout the day as they conduct 15-20 minute presentations in the classroom, including 5 minutes of Q&A from the students.
